About BREITNER
Your packaging machine specialist –
Erecting, filling & sealing.
Our comprehensive process chain covers all steps – from the arrangement of the delivered bulk bottles to the central filling process and the reliable sealing of the containers. The range of our systems allows the processing of small 30 ml bottles up to large-volume 30 litre canisters, a span of one to a thousand.
Liquid products, whether thin vinegar or solvents, are precisely dosed by filling machines with inductive flow measurement or mass flow measurement, while viscous products such as creams or pastes use the proven piston dosing machine.

In the food industry, our customers include manufacturers of products such as vinegar, oil, juices and a range of viscous products such as jam, honey, creams, marmalade, mustard, ketchup and mayonnaise. The chemical industry relies on our machines for packaging cleaning agents, dishwashing detergents, motor oil, car care products, windscreen cleaner, brake fluid, radiator antifreeze, paints, varnishes, adhesives – even superglue – as well as pesticides and liquid fertilisers for home and garden use. We are currently in particular demand for the filling of disinfectants.
Our best-selling machine type for low to medium cycle rates, i.e. 10 to around 150 containers per minute, operates linearly. Here you will find bottle erectors for symmetrical and asymmetrical shapes, IDL and MDL or KDS (piston fillers) linear filling machines, and linear capping machines for various container sizes and cap shapes.
For high throughputs of up to 300 containers per minute, we offer rotary filling machines and rotary capping machines that can process up to 30 containers simultaneously, depending on the configuration.
A particular strength of our product range lies in the precise filling of cleaning agents into bottles with pump caps and riser tubes (trigger pumps). These liquids tend to foam, but are filled without foaming thanks to controlled below-level filling. Capping is carried out with maximum precision and speed thanks to the thin, curved riser tube, which is screwed on with a knurled drive.
Our systems comply with the explosion protection standard for highly flammable substances such as pesticides, disinfectants and cleaning fluids.
Our filling machines are cleaned throughout using the Cleaning in Place (CIP) technique. No dismantling is required: cleaning or rinsing fluid passes through the machine and covers the entire product path from the inlet to the tip of the filling pipe. Even with piston filling machines, the rear chambers behind the dosing piston, where small amounts of product residue may be present, are cleaned by piston rear chamber rinsing. For higher cleanliness requirements, sterilisation in place (SIP) is used according to the same principle.
We use laminar airflow technology to ensure maximum purity during the filling process, especially for perishable foods such as freshly squeezed fruit juices. This involves a stream of sterilized air flowing around the short distance between the filling pipe outlet and the liquid level. Trust BREITNER filling systems for precise, efficient, and hygienic solutions in the packaging industry. The challenges of these diverse industries have motivated our engineers to develop an extremely versatile range of machines. Today, our systems are not only universally applicable, but also prove themselves in surprisingly new applications. The strengths developed in one industry environment are also applied in other industries with different products. One example of this is the adaptation to the cleaning standards that apply to both cosmetics and the food industry.
BREITNER was founded in 1961 as a family business by the grandfather of the current management. His father expanded the company to its current size, and for over 60 years it has been exclusively in the hands and under the management of the family. Today, under the leadership of the third generation, the fourth generation is already growing up. Continuity combined with the longevity of our machines ensures that our customers can still obtain spare parts and service for their machines even after decades.
With around 100 employees, we are based in Schwäbisch Hall, in the heart of Packaging Valley. This regional association consists of around 100 companies in the packaging industry and is regarded as the Silicon Valley of the packaging industry in Germany.
Manufacturers of cosmetic products from sectors such as shampoo, shower gel, liquid soap, massage oil, nail polish remover, facial toner, hair tonic, sunscreen, and baby oil are also among our valued customers.
In the non-sterile pharmaceutical sector and for medical devices (link to the Pharma landing page), companies rely on our systems for filling disinfectants and remedies such as cough syrup and nasal spray.
